It has been confirmed by Triple H in an interview with The Ringer that this year’s Survivor Series will officially be WarGames!!

The exciting event that has been a mainstay for NXT since 2017 and has a history with NWA and WCW will now be coming to WWE’s main roster. While speaking exclusively with The Ringer, Triple H (Paul Levesque) had the following to say –

“We’ll have a men’s WarGames match and a women’s WarGames match. The tradition of the Survivor Series has ebbed and flowed and changed slightly over time, but this will be similar to that,” Levesque said. “This will not be Raw versus SmackDown. It will be much more story-line driven. I still look at it as a traditional component to Survivor Series in there because it’s large teams of people competing. We just upped the ante a little bit with WarGames and made it evolve.”

Prior events introduced the first ever women’s WarGames match in 2019 with Team Ripley vs. Team Baszler. The tradition would continue in 2020 with Team Candice vs. Team Shotzi and in 2021 we had Io Shirai enter her third WarGames match as she teamed up with newcomer Cora Jade, Kay Lee Ray, and Raquel Gonzalez (Rodriguez) taking on Dakota Kai and all three members of Toxic Attraction.

Survivor Series WarGames takes place on Nov. 26 in Boston at the TD Garden Center.
