Arshdeep Singh was brutally trolled for his dropped catch against Pakistan in the Super 4 stage. But he was fantastic at the death overs and gave India a slimmer of hope of winning that encounter. The left-arm pacer would be roaring to prove everyone wrong by producing match-winning spells.

Arshdeep Singh currently is in NCA and working on his skills & fitness and is not a part of the T20I Series against Australia. The way the left arm pacer handled the pressure was remarkable as many players could have gotten into mental trauma after facing that trolling. There’s no doubt that the player has immense strength and courage.

Rohit Sharma on Arshdeep Singh

Skipper Rohit Sharma was all praiseworthy for Arshdeep Singh on Sunday (18th September). “The way Arshdeep bowled was very impressive. The way he landed yorkers under extreme pressure in his first year of international cricket, is not easy. He is a very smart guy and keeps things simple. We needed a left-arm seamer and he has done well in IPL and then he came here (into the India team) and has done well.”

“We always wanted variety in our attack and we have that now,” Rohit added.

A Tough Task for Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma would be quite aware that the defending champions Australia will be a completely different ball game. It won’t be wrong to say that India would be tested on all the grounds. The mighty Australians know that the Men in Blue have a lot of concerns regarding the batting positions of players.

It would be interesting to see whether India applies a fearless approach or play sensible & smart cricket. Australia has a habit of cutting the opponent in half which means the first T20I match would be extremely critical & crucial. Head coach Rahul Dravid would be hoping that the team shows character. According to Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli may be the opener for some matches which means that the management is still in the mood for experimentation which looks scary.
