Kylian Mbappe has been named vice-captain at Paris Saint-Germain following his historic five-goal haul on Monday evening. Mbappe notched a staggering five goals as PSG completed a demolishing exercise against amateur club Pays de Cassel in the French Cup.

The 24-year-old bagged a first-half hattrick before netting a brace in the second half to complete a 7-0 rout and set up a round-of-16 clash against Marseille in the next round of the French Cup, per GOAL.

Apparently, it will not be the last time Mbappe leads PSG following confirmation of his role as the deputy captain of the club by head coach Christophe Galtier. “We decided at the start of the season that Kylian Mbappé should be the second captain,” Galiter said .
