JOHANNESBURG – South Africa’s most decorated coach, Pitso Mosimane has picked up yet another trophy in his career after winning the Saudi Division 1 title with his club, Al Ahli.
Their 1-0 win against Al-Qadisiyah on Tuesday took them four points clear of their nearest rivals, Al-Hazm with only one match remaining in the season.
Al-Ahli’s victory is Mosimane’s 19th career title and ensures he delivered on his mandate when he was hired by the club last September, to lead them back into the top flight.

Whether Mosimane stays with the club for next season remains to be seen after reports from Saudi Arabia implied he was on his way out and had only signed a one-year deal with the club.
Mosimane hinted at an exit on social media as he said he was “waiting for the next project” in his celebratory message.
Mosimane is a serial winner and won’t be short of offers should he decide to leave or if indeed the club decides not to renew his deal. He has succeeded in each of the three countries he’s coached in, and prior to joining the Saudi club, alluded to being contacted about jobs both in South Africa and abroad.
Alhamdulilla. When God is in control , no human being can distract. He just turns criticism into learning curves , makes you accept , embrace your mistakes and failures. I have learnt that in order to succeed you will face hurdles & stumble but you dont quit.Mamba Mentality! pic.twitter.com/tZQfpJtH9q
