After ten spirited rounds, Plata was declared a 97-93, 97-93, 96-94 winner.
Unbeaten super lightweight Mazlum Akdeniz (18-0, 8 KOs) successfully defended his WBC Continental Americas belt with a ten round unanimous decision against Cristian Bielma (19-5-2, 7 KOs) in a 10-rounder. Akdeniz dropped Bielma in rounds three, five, and seven en route to a 100-87 3x verdict.
World-rated female welterweight “MPH” Marie Pier Houle (8-0-1, 2 KOs) got a hometown decision against Marisol Moreno (6-4, 0 KOs) in an eight-rounder. Moreno outworked MPH, but the 77-75, 79-73, 80-72 scores reflected some other fight.
Middleweight Derek Pomerleau (4-0, 2 KOs) outpointed Gustavo Magana Rodriguez (3-2-1, 1 KO) over six 60-54 3x.
2020 female Olympian featherweight Caroline Veyre (2-0, 0 KOs) topped Estefania Gonzalez Franco (3-6, 0 KOs) in a six-rounder. 60-54 3x.
Lightweight Eric Basran (3-0, 1 KO) took a one-sided six round unanimous decision over Juan Carlos Ramirez Garcia (4-3, 0 KOs). Scores were 60-53, 60-54, 60-54.
