Sekhukune United’s head coach, Brandon Truter, has expressed his belief in Ghanaian international Edwin Gyimah and encouraged him to give his all in the upcoming Nedbank Cup final against Orlando Pirates.
The 32-year-old defender has been in exceptional form recently, showcasing his abilities by scoring against his former clubs, Pirates and SuperSport United.
Now, with another encounter against Pirates scheduled for Saturday, May 27, Truter has motivated Gyimah to continue his outstanding performances.
During a press conference, Truter highlighted Gyimah’s resilience and strong belief in God, which have been instrumental in his positive mindset.
“With what Edwin [Gyimah] has been through. We spoke about it and his belief in God as well; it carries him.
“So whatever he went through, he used it in a positive way. He is a big part and key figure in our changing room. I depend on him a lot and he also relies on me and can lean on me any moment. So it’s all about the management and respect for everybody in the club.”
“With me just pushing him in the right direction and pushing the right buttons. He scored against Pirates… and he scored against SuperSport [last weekend] and those are his former clubs.”
